The A Better Tomorrow team is made up of volunteers, refugees, former child workers and orphans. Watch these short films to find out a little bit about what A Better Tomorrow does and how you can help. 

Aftu's Story

Aftu began waste picking aged 3. He was one of the first pupils to enrol at A Better Tomorrow. In January 2015 Aftu's home was destroyed by the army and he was forced onto a truck heading to Afghanistan

Zakia's Story

Zakia studied at ABT and had to leave when she was forced to marry aged 15. She enrolled at the Sewing and Skill Training Centre after being abandoned by her husband. Watch how she plans to use her training to rebuild her life. 

Noor's Story

After losing his arm Noor became one of the first pupils to come to night class. He's now our longest serving member of staff.  

Raza's Story

Orphaned aged 3 and with severe learning difficulties, Raza always dreamed of going to school. This January he had his home destroyed by the army and was forced on to a truck heading to Afghanistan. 

 

Reshma's Story

Unable to afford college tuition fees and forced into marriage, Reshma had to abandon her education. Now separated from her husband and with her father ill, she is hoping to support a family of 8 by training to become a teacher at A Better Tomorrow School. 

Javed's Story

Javed finished top of his class in 2012 but then found he could not afford to go to college. Working 12hrs a day to support his family and pay his fees, Javed was close to giving up. Javed's ABT Scholarship means he no longer has to work and can focus on achieving his dream.
